HSE Policy

Sarab Contracting Est. is committed to the protection of environment and to the prevention of ill health and injuries to its employees, contractors, customers, the surrounding community and the general public. SCE believes that environment, health and safety (EHS) are integral parts of its business and culture and is committed to achieving continual improvement in its EHS performance and to ensuring full compliance with the laws and regulations of kingdom of Bahrain. In the absence of relevant local rules and regulations, internationally accepted standards will be considered as appropriate to the local conditions. SCE shall peruse the application of caring culture and through sound EHS management or the Environment. The primary responsibility for communicating and implementing this policy rests with SCE management. Accordingly, SCE shall provide sufficient resources and shall encourage the involvement of all employees and contractor in implementing this policy. In addition SCE shall provide EHS awareness and training programmers to enable its management, employees and contractors to fulfill their EHS responsibilities both within and outside of SCE Company In pursuit of the objectives of this EHS policy SCE shall develop specific guidelines standards and clearly defined procedures which shall be specifically reviewed. Effective communication channels shall be maintained with the Government of Kingdom of Bahrain and other stakeholders including the general public

QA/QC Policy

Quality Audits

Auditing shall be conducted in accordance with project requirements which shall cover the following items:

  • Purpose and Scope
  • Responsibility for conducting and reporting the audit
  • Schedule of the audit
  • Applicable standards
  • Activities to be audited
  • Quality System Procedure

    Quality System Procedure shall be prepared in accordance with the project quality requirement. The following items shall be considered in preparations of quality procedure

  • Objective
  • Scope
  • References
  • Responsibilities
  • Sequence of Activities
  • Written or flow chart to develop quality procedure
  • Records
  • Document Control

  • The creation, distribution, monitoring, revision, control and disposition of all formal documentation to include drawings and records are carried out in a controlled manner by authorized personnel.
  • The QA/QC policy includes procedure for control of project documentation, including that of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Regulatory and owner requirements for permanent records shall be identified in accordance with the requirement of the project technical specification.
  • Retained records shall include drawings, specifications, procurement documents, calibration procedures and reports, non-conforming and corrective action reports, results of review, inspection, tests, audits, material analysis, monitoring of work performance and qualification of personnel.
  • Quality Audits

    Auditing shall be conducted in accordance with project requirements which shall cover the following items:

  • Responsibility for conducting and reporting the audit
  • Schedule of the audit
  • Applicable standards
  • Activities to be audited
  • Inspection and Testing at Work Site

  • Customer shall be entitled to have their representative present at all location where the contractor or subcontractors are engaged in the performance of the work, at any and all times, to review and inspect all aspects of their performance of the work and to perform or witness whatever tests are required under this contract or which the customer otherwise considers necessary.
  • For any inspection or any test to be witnessed by the customer’s representative, Sarab Contracting shall advise the customer’s representative in writing of inspection or tests sufficiently in advance to enable the customer’s representative to attend.
  • Sarab Contracting shall document observed deficiencies on non-conformance reports and shall maintain a log on all non-conformance. Sarab Contracting shall be responsible for all required inspection and tests at the fabrication yards and at work sites.
